Games that explain the abilities clearly deserve award honestly 😂 Some TBS games will throw encyclopedia on your head before you even start the first mission. I actually play games to relax, not defend any thesis. 🤣
A full visibility maps is very boring to me honestly. Fog maps add tension and curiosity to the game. I like entering unknown areas slowly because it feels like real exploration, not just a checklist movement.
The high ground advantage always make you feel like a tactical genius 😂 First time I discovered it properly in Mario + Rabbids, I sat up like a real commander. Meanwhile before that I was just rushing the units anyhow. I like games that reward common sense instead of random luck.
That first level-up sound in strategy games can trigger happiness somehow 😂 Mine was from Fire Emblem years ago. I trained one weak character for almost the whole game and the moment the level-up stats jumped properly, I felt like a proud father 🤣
I do this things alot. Sometimes I don't even care about winning, I just keep moving the units around. Whenever I need an escape from reality, I just opened a TBS game just to distract myself. No strategy, it was just a pure vibe.
If too many icons is stressful to you, try Into the Breach straight up. That game respects your eyes and your sanity 😂 I stopped playing one popular TBS because every corner of the screen have one blinking symbol like a crypto dashboard. 🤣
Auto-resolve is a blessing sometimes 😂 People act like using it means you’re a lazy gamer. I just want to progress with peace of mind. But I won't lie, some games cheat with the auto-resolve. You could take the elite squad into a battle and come back with half your army dead for no reason. That...
Those bad icons can ruin a whole game. Some developers think that everybody has eagle eyes. Those tiny red symbols, confusing colors and 200 tutorials are top before you even move the unit.
XCOM 2 victory screen still satisfied me more than anything 😂 Especially after one mission that I almost destroyed because one of my best units miss 95% of the shot. I nearly left my laptop that day. Then boom, final attack landed. That small celebration hit differently to be honest with you.
I have done this one many times 😂 sometimes I do not even care about winning again, it's just to explore the maps. Gaming is really an escape and sometimes it's the journey that wins more.
Friendly tips is everything for beginners. I was literally shocked when a game was guiding me like it understand my struggle.🤣 No big grammar, it was just clear steps. Compared to others that are so tedious to comprehend. With how attention span has reduce now, simple instructions wins.
I want a quick match, win or lose and move on. I tried one long campaign last month, I didn't even reach halfway. I don't think I have that patience again.
Aesthetics can deceive you😂 I downloaded one fine TBS game too, the graphics was clean but the gameplay was a huge confusion. This is exactly why I stopped judging games by looks.
Auto-save is a must for me.😅 . I learned my lesson when I lost everything. Since then, any game that doesn't have a solid save system, I don't even bother myself going near them. With how things are unpredictable here, simple save is not a luxury.
Any game that respect my time, I salute them 😄 I remembered a gameplaying during break one time, I later close it and came back to it later. That kind of feature is a lifesaver.
That's true! Those small sound effects are underrated no doubt. That “click” or attack sound would give you some kind of satisfaction. I remember one game that I lowered the volume of the music just to hear the moves clearly. It was so interesting! Sometimes those tiny details dey make you stay...
That little story is what would hook you more sometimes 😅 I wont lie, I once continued one boring TBS game just because I wanted to see what would happen next. So that small escape matter. But they shouldn't over do it.
These “figure it out yourself” games is a big punishment in disguise 😄 I don't think I have that strength again. I just want a clear direction, no long story. With everything going on here now, my brain is already filled up. I was literally playing one confusing game last week, I just deleted...
That combo is the real vibe 😂. Sometimes I mute the game music completely. I just run my own playlist and the whole thing just feel fresh. These TBS devs put a boring soundtrack sometimes in their games..
I understand that feeling so much 😂 Reaching turn 4 can feel like an achievement of the year. The first time I try the TBS, the enemy nearly wipe me instantly I was just guessing the moves. When I survive it, I just lean back like a champion 😂.
