General Do you prefer 2D sprites or 3D graphics for strategy games?

Clean 2D sprites still slap hard honestly 😂 These GPU prices nowadays can make a grown man cry. You’ll spend huge money upgrading the PC just for extra shadows and unnecessary explosions. Old 2D RTS games had clarity. You could instantly identify units and buildings without confusion.

General Is it better to play with a mouse and keyboard or a controller?

The controller for RTS is a punishment straight up 😂. I tried it once at my friend’s apartment and nearly lost my sanity. Selecting units felt like fighting a spiritual battle. Mouse and keyboard just fit strategy games naturally.

General How long does it usually take you to finish a single-player campaign?

Adulthood has affected my gaming schedule completely. 😭 One campaign that I am supposed to finish in three days now takes almost one month. Between work calls, blackout and random responsibilities, concentration has reduced greatly.

General Do you play the tutorial, or do you jump straight into the action?

I am matured 😂 Back then i skipped tutorials because the pride is too much. Then one RTS embarrassed me publicly online within eight minutes. I didnt even know how the economy worked properly. Modern strategy games carry too many systems now. If you skip the tutorial, you will be confused.

General Which RTS game has the best soundtrack?

Command & Conquer soundtrack is not ordinary music. It's a war motivation 😂 Once that background beat starts, suddenly you’re building tanks. Older RTS soundtracks carried tension and energy truly.

General Is a good story important in a strategy game, or just the gameplay?

Gameplay always comes first. One beautiful story cannot save boring mechanics. This is exactly why older Blizzard games still hold a very strong fanbase. Their stories and gameplay was well balanced.

General Do you prefer historical, sci-fi, or fantasy settings?

Just give me fantasy anytime 😂 Real life is already looking like survival campaign. Let me enjoy dragons and giant monsters in peace. 🤣Historical RTS games are cool but sometimes too serious for me. You’ll start feeling like you’re preparing for exam instead of relaxing.

General What is the most iconic RTS unit of all time?

Terran Marine is actually a legend but for me, nothing beats the Chrono Tank from Red Alert 2. That teleporting nonsense used to stress my life back then. The old RTS units had personality. Once you hear certain voice lines, instant nostalgia enters fully.

General Is "Easy" mode too easy in most modern RTS games?

Some “Easy” modes can insult your intelligence honestly 😂 I played one RTS because i just wanted something calm after work. My brother, the enemy AI was practically greeting me instead of attacking.🤣 There should still be some kind of pressure atleast.

General Do you prefer "turtling" (building big defenses) or rushing the enemy?

Rushing too early always looks cool until enemy survives and counterattacks your empty base 😂. I’m proudly part of turtle gang too. Give me walls, towers and enough time to prepare properly, I'm ok.There’s something satisfying about watching aggressive players crash repeatedly into defenses...

General Do you prefer "turtling" (building big defenses) or rushing the enemy?

Relying on one base in RTS is gambling with your blood pressure 😂 Once the enemy discovers your main resource spot, the match has ended. I learned about diversification from RTS. Multiple bases may stress you, but at least you still have a backup plan. Though managing many locations during...

General Do you find resource gathering boring or relaxing?

Resource gathering calms me honestly. Watching workers move around peacefully before war starts feels therapeutic somehow 😂 Maybe it's because the real life economy is already stressful. At least virtual miners do not complain about anything. But players who are in a rush always spoil things...

General Which game has the most unique resource system?

Supreme Commander’s economy system is still ahead of many modern RTS games honestly. The smooth resource flow made everything feel connected instead of workers carrying tiny gold bags up and down forever 😂. I’m tired of games adding complicated systems just to look “deep.” Before you understand...

General Do you prefer infinite resources or limited mines/patches?

Yes, the infinite resources can make RTS match drag. 😂 Everybody just keeps producing units forever till the laptop starts sounding like a generator. 🤣Limited resources bring proper tension and force smarter decisions. Once gold or minerals start reducing, every move matters more. That survival...

General How many builders/workers is "too many"?

There was a time i had so many villagers in Age of Empires that i forgot who was farming and who was just standing uselessly beside the tree. 🤣Some players enjoy perfect optimization but i cant stress myself after dealing with real life issues all day.

General Do you prioritize tech upgrades or building a larger army first?

I don't believe in that “bigger army always wins” mentality 😂. I learned this the hard way too. One guy destroyed my massive troops with smaller upgraded units and i just sat there staring. Upgrades is where experienced players separate themselves from the casuals.

General Should buildings be allowed to fire back at attackers?

Bases defending themselves actually makes RTS battles feel alive. Imagine spending 30 minutes building defenses only for random enemy jeep to stroll inside freely. But some games overdo it honestly. I played one sci-fi RTS recently and every building was firing missiles like Avengers final...

General Is "walling off" your base a cheap tactic or a smart one?

People only call walling “cheap” when their early rush fails badly 😂. If a game gives me walls, I will use it because it’s supposed to be a strategy game of course. Patience is very scarce in gaming these days. Everybody just wants quick victory.

General Do you like games where you have to build houses for "population cap"?

That “need more houses” sound can frustrate you if care is not taken. You’re busy planning one serious attack then suddenly villagers stop training because one tiny hut have not been completed. The population cap houses make strategy sweeter. Without it, everybody would just spam the troops like...

General Have you ever played a TBS game just because it was free or on sale?

Yes, sales is actually trapping all of us 😂 Steam discounts can make you buy a game you normally won't even touch. I bought one random TBS because it was “85% off” and I kept forcing myself to enjoy it so my money won't waste🤣
