I'm with @blitzmaster_84 on this. I mean, RTS is strategy. Those tactical games are really RTT. RTS needs bases to be RTS.

Generals 2 and EA killed te franchise really. They were workingf on C&C Generals 2 and they tried to change it to free to play causing a community rtevolt. Really bad times, man. Really bad times.

I'll see your Civ IV and raise you Civ VI. Easily the best in the series and - yeah i know it's subjective - the best 4X game available now. Not the travesty that is Civ VII.

They've annnounced 2 new games, right? There's Medieval 3 and also Warhammer 40k. So there is a future but initial reception will be very impotant for the success of the game.
